How does the designation of world heritage sites work to affect and represent the areas which receive the designation? Comparing Kyoto and Hiroshima, this thesis illustrates how the designation fulfils a variety of quite different roles. |

The range and quality of research subjects and graduate reports has been exceptional this year. The students have really worked to absorb the the themes of the class and the topics of their chosen research.
